Humanitarian work

Despite her numerous trainings and obligations as an athlete, Idora Hegel always finds time for humanitarian work.

"After my evening training I go to Dubrava to pick up my Meri. It's an abandoned, betrayed girl from whom genetics took away her arms and feet. She is such a positive and strong person that it's my honor to associate with her and help as much as I can."

Apart from that she also gladly attends various humanitarian activities. She participated in action "Dame hrvatskog sporta za Malu Kuću", the only institution in Croatia for the rehabilitation of blind and visually impaired children with difficulties in development, where she gave toys received on ice for the past years on auction. She also participated in humanitarian fashion show in Zagreb for buying a sewing machine to a girl with damaged hearing.
